Congratulations to Gleda Ho (Part III Materials) and Joe Greer (Part III Physics) who both completed their final year at Cambridge and their research project in the MTG !
Gleda and Joe presented their results at a poster session held in the Materials department (Gleda) and the Physics department (Joe).
Gleda worked on the ionic properties of a promising solid state battery material Li3YCl6 (LiYC) by means on MLIPs. She benchmarked uMLIP Mattersim with EDDPs - the in-house MLIPs used in the group.
Joe worked on material discovery for hydrogen-rich superconductors under moderate pressures. He used in-house code Distill and MLIPs EDDPs to do high-throughput searching for high critical temperature hydride superconductors. His study resulted in a promising compound CaCeH8.
Both Joe and Gleda wil pursue a PhD in UK, we wish you all the best !
