About this event

If you are an academic, researcher or postgraduate student, based within the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, or the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, and would like to learn more about the commercialisation of research, Cambridge Enterprise will be holding a 3-part series of lunchtime talks to guide you through the process. This year’s theme is “commercialising software.”

To begin this series, Professor Chris Pickard will share his experiences on the development and commercialisation of CASTEP; a software tool based on density functional theory to calculate the properties of materials from first principles.

Agenda:
1.00 pm - pizza made available.
1.15-2.00 pm - talk followed by Q&A.
2.00 pm - further networking with Cambridge Enterprise staff.
